The Atelier Response Time Index

How properties that sell space handle the first ten minutes after an inquiry.
The Index is an observational research project. We review the public inquiry experience at properties that sell space and record what is visible to any prospective buyer: what the inquiry path asks for, what comes back automatically, and whether a next step can be booked without waiting for a person.
It is not a client performance report, and it does not yet publish response-time statistics.
Observed infrastructure

What we record

Whether a response-time expectation is published
Whether confirmation is immediate
Whether pricing or details are delivered automatically
Whether a tour can be booked directly
Whether budget is captured
Whether date and guest count are captured
Whether inquiry ownership is clear
Whether SMS, email, phone or calendar options exist
Whether an after-hours pathway is visible
Methodology

Two things, kept separate

Observed infrastructure
A structured review of publicly visible inquiry paths. No inquiry is submitted, no staff member is contacted, and nothing is measured against a stopwatch. Each property is scored only on what the checklist above can confirm from public pages and forms.
Status: collection under way. Findings publish by property type once the sample is large enough to describe honestly.
Actual response-time testing
A separate method: a real inquiry is submitted the way a buyer would submit one, and the interval to first human reply is recorded by channel and by hour.
Status: not yet published. No response-time figures appear on this page, and none will until the data has been collected.
Actual inquiry response-time testing will be added as the sample grows.
Why we publish it
Every property in this category competes on the first ten minutes, and almost none of them can describe what happens during it.
The Index exists so that an owner can compare their own inquiry path against what is normal, rather than against a sales pitch.
Future editions
Planned: breakdowns by property type and region, after-hours pathways, and the channels most often left unowned.
Properties are not named without permission, and no client data appears in the Index.

Request a Response Review for your own property.

The Index is research across the category. A Response Review is fifteen minutes on your property alone: your current response time, and what installing the system would change.
